i believe…

  • Each client and family are the experts in their own lives and experiences.

  • Meeting every moment with authenticity and openness is one of the best ways to build a strong therapeutic relationship.

  • The creative therapeutic process is a constantly evolving practice for both client and therapist.

  • Everyone is deserving of empathy and positive regard.

IN MY SESSIONs I LIKE TO:

  • Create a safe and open space to explore and process feelings.

  • Get to know clients’ unique preferences, strengths, and needs.

  • Utilize art, movement, music, and humor to help build the therapeutic relationship.

  • Hi, I’m Maddie! I earned my bachelor’s degree in music therapy from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami in 2019, and became a board certified music therapist in 2020. I’ve been an active member of the seacoast community for the past 4 years, and am so proud to call this area home.

When I’m not at work, you can find me experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, going for walks by the water, and spending time with my family and friends.

  • MT-BC (Board Certified Music Therapist)

    CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner)

  • As a music therapist, I use different elements of music to encourage healing, expression, and progress towards goals I create with my clients (and their caregivers) as a team. I like to prioritize flexibility and authenticity in my sessions, allowing myself to meet each unique moment with the care and attention it deserves. My clients’ perspectives and experiences, including the multiple facets of their identities, are central to the therapeutic process and therapeutic relationship and help create a vibrant picture of the whole person and inform transference of skills learned in therapy to their everyday lives.
